Well I want something in return from you! Of course I do, because I’m needy like that. I want you to tell me something you wish for today. If today were your birthday and you had to blow out candles on your birthday cake, what would you wish for in that moment that you close your eyes just before opening them to blow out you many candles on your cake? Knowing that blowing out birthday candles ALWAYS makes wishes comes true, what is that one thing you would wish?

Giving credit where credit is due…

Everyone wants a little piece of the lime light…everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame…or in this case 15 second blog entry of fame! So it is here that I totally give my friend “JB” credit for tipping me off on how to get a free radio from Sirius. She hasn’t blogged to thank me for having her over to my mom’s house for (a FREE) dinner on Monday night, but I’ll let it slide, because hey…she totally helped us score BRAND NEW SIRIUS RADIOS…FOR FREE!!! Oh but wait she hasn’t blogged in like FOREVER, so why would she blog a thank you!!!

(Note: she knows I’m totally messing with her right now by blogging this entry. Not only did she CALL MY WORK NUMBER but she IM’d me to put me in my place!!!) I love “JB”!!!!

Clarification

For those who do not know my daughter personally, there is a logical reason why I refer to her as Li’l Foot on this blog. Have I explained this recently? Stop me if I have! Or just skip down to the next item.I refer to her as Li’l Foot not because she has some Nemo-esque one-fin’s-smaller-than-the-other type problem.. it’s nothing like that at all actually! It really is very simple. When I was pregnant with Li’l Foot (LF) I had a sonogram at about the 20-ish week mark and at one point the technician captured just one foot. Only one. On the screen. And she printed it out for us. I also have small-ish feet, so it was only logical to nickname her Li’l Foot. At the same time that happened, hubbie said the little foot on the screen totally had m y stubby little pretzel nugget toes…noe thing led to another and I told the story to Pocklock, and she has referred to my toes as Tator Tots. So not only do we refer to my daughter as Li’l Foot, but also TT (short for Tator Tot).

Also, I have been asked about the lady bug stench and am I sure it wasn’t my dog farting. And the answer to that is yes I am entirely sure that stench was not my dog’s brand! And to prove it, here…go…read this (it’s from Ladybuglady.com)

Okay so I’ve caved to the pressure of the pilferers of the webernet! You might’ve noticed in my post from the other day, the picture of Li’l Foot at the window, it had a “Li’l Foot Imprints” watermark on it. I’ve decided I need to start protecting my pictures better. Not that my photos are anything great and not that someone can’t just use Photoshop to takeit off, but I also used a filter on it too. I have not personally had any bad experiences with my photos being taken, but I just want to be proactive. I hate that it came to this but a mommarazzi’s gotta to do what a mommarazzi’s gotta to do, ya know?

Is there anything I’m needing to clarify for you in addition to these? This is all I can think of that I’ve gotten questions about. Feel free to let me know.

Banned…

I was thinking…and thinking…and trying to figure out what to write about tonight. Nothing came to mind. I think I’ve got a severe case of writer’s block. I have a toddler, stories of trials and tribulation should flow freely on a daily basis. Sure I could tell you how she fell off the one step we have on the lower level of our house for the eleventy billionth time. Or hey I could tell you about her Adirondack chair that grandma bought her for her 1st birthday and pushes the envelope by standing on said chair her butt against the back of it and then rocks up and back and up and back again thus tipping the chair about a centimeter off the floor each time, and if given the right amount of thrust the chair could fall over backwards if it weren’t for the pile of toys behind the chair. And she does this over and over again, because hey, why isn’t that fun? One would wonder, right? Or I could tell you how I’m putting my dog up for auction because oh. my. hell. if he gets under my foot one more time, I’ll fall on him on purpose and squish the stuffing out of him and then the problem will really be resolved. But those things? They are as we say, boring! With a capital zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!So instead I am going to tell you about my blogging pet peeve. I totally admit I usually hide behind my feed reader and read other people’s blogs from the comfort of my Google Reader so I don’t have to visit all 50 blog sites individually, I just scroll through and read them in one happy place with an imaginary big comfy couch and an imaginary refrigerator stocked with mojitos and mac & cheese. And those are only a few of my imaginary guilty pleasures I have in my feed reader home. But I am so over some of the blogs I read. And I’m banning them from my feed reader. And If I find other ones that I want to add to my feed reader, there’s some room because I’ve written off these blogs. I will not mention them by linking to their sites or anything like that. But I will explain why I’ve banned them. Each blog service provider gives the blogger options for how they want their blog to appear, whether it be design or various side bar options or whatever. But they also offer the blogger the opportunity to only provide people who read from their Feed Reader the opportunity to read the first few lines of their entry, sometimes the first few lines doesn’t even include the whole first paragraph. In order to actually read the bloggers entire entry I. must. click out of the safe confines of my feed reader and enter their website. This ticks me off. It makes me angry. I can feel my blood boil when I see a blogger do this. It only makes me think one thing. It makes me believe that the blogger who does this is starved for attention and wants the hits on their blog and/or comments. And on top of that, it’s obnoxious. I have little time to read all the blogs I subscribe to in my feed reader, let alone visit 50 different blogs to read their daily entries. Why must they do this? Seriously? It’s annoying. And so? These bloggers are deleted from my feed reader. All of them. If you want me to read you, and you have this little option turned on? Turn it off and send me an email or comment to let me know it’s been shut off. The ones I had in my reader I loved to read, but I just can’t do it anymore. I’m so over it.The other blogs I’m banning from reading? They would be the ones that really do only give a first paragraph or so on their blog when you view their site. And then at the bottom of the first paragraph you have the word “More” that you can click on to read the rest of the entry. Hello? If I’m on your blog site, doesn’t that mean I want to read your entire entry? Why do I have to click to read more of your entry. I’m not quite sure which blogism that I’ve banned is more obnoxious? As I find more and more blogs that I love to read, I’m becoming more picky with the blogs that I have the patience to read. I know I’m complaining right now, but I had to. After all I was having a bad case of writer’s block and had nothing else for tonight.So is there anything that turns you off from reading a blog? Any blogisms that just drive you crazy and make you refuse to go back and read that blog again?

Tourists: Excuse me sir? Can we ask you a question?

Conductor: Sure rates are a dollar per question.

Tourists: ?

Conductor: Sure what can I do for you?

Tourists: Is this a quiet car?

Conductor: A what?

Tourists: A quiet car? No one is talking…it’s really quiet, are we allowed to talk?

Conductor: Yeah, it’s just early!

As I sit there in my seat and giggle to myself…dumb tourists!!!

In my mind it even sounded wrong…

Yesterday on my drive home from the train station I passed by this school that has animals. Apparently they have Peacocks, which I never knew. I passed one pecking it’s way up the road, only it wasn’t a male peacock it was a female. The difference, I knew was the male has those pretty, long feathers that splay out of its butt and the female does not have those pretty feather. In my mind I was relaying to myself what the name of a female one was and this is what it sounded like:

Me: Oh look a hencock!

Me: No, you moron it’s a peahen not a hencock (smacks self upside head).

The conversations I have with myself sometimes are extremely amusing. Even to myself.

As heard on GoogleTalk in an IM between me and my sister ladybug…

Me: I won’t see Li’l Foot tonite!

Ladybug: Why?

Me: Industry function, I’m wearing a SKIRT…GAH!!!!!

Ladybug: I don’t wear skirts, ever!

Me: Well I had a choice of a summery dress (too cold) a pants suit (not feeling it) or a skirt..the skirt won!

Ladybug: I hope their either paying you extra or giving you a really nice meal!

Me: No and the food’s pretty good!

Ladybug: What time will you get there and what time will you leave? Can you call car service?

Me: I’ll leave the party around 8 or 9, and eh…car service will take just as long if not longer to get there, might as well take the train.

Me: Hubbie will be giving Li’l Foot her bath for the first time tonight!

Ladybug: That’s something, Mr. Ladybug put your niece on the toilet for the first time on Sunday while I was doing a street fair, it didn’t go well, it ended with a toddler melting into a puddle on the floor, she wanted yellow, you know what that means, right? well, he didn’t, yellow? I mean if a toddler sits ont he potty and asks for yellow you give her M&Ms right? Doesn’t everyone know that?

Me: Hahaha…he cracks me up! Hey do you have a life jacket?

Ladybug: What? A life jacket for hubbie to give Li’l Foot a bath in?

Me: HA HA HA HA…No, we’re supposed to go sailing on Sunday and I need it for Li’l Foot! And that would be really funny if I left a life jacket on the floor for him to come home to this afternoon…you know…just in case the bath gets out of hand!!!

Ladybug: We do have a life jacket.

Me: Cool, can you bring it on Saturday?

Ladybug: Sure, call me to remind me on Saturday morning!

(But of course when you put two scatter-baby-brained-mom’s together you get something of a response like this)

Me: Call me before you leave the house. If we tell each other to call one another, one of us is bound to remember to actually call the other.

Ladybug: To be double sure you might try calling me on Friday night and reminding me on Saturday morning!
