And here’s the final product of the project I worked on. Lighting wasn’t perfect in my bedroom that day, so I played and made her all dreamy and angelic. I also cropped in a little bit when I sent it to be printed. Isn’t she just so beautiful. I just love my god daughter and look forward to other photoshoots.

Over the past almost two years, Pocklock has been there for Li’l Foot.  All of the summer of 2007 Pocklock would watch Li’l Foot every other Friday even though she worked a half day at home in the morning those days.  We were fortunate to have that work out how it did.  Li’l Foot and I would stay overnight on Thursday night and I’d leave from there for the train station in the morning.  LFD would pick up Li’l Foot later Friday afternoon.  Pocklock and Li’l Foot formed a bond that I’m sure will prove to be useful at any given moment Li’l Foot needs someone to talk to.  These days, and for a while now Li’l Foot will recognize as we come up the hill to Pocklock’s house and call out either her name or Lyla’s name.  It makes my heart sing.

Well, before I get too mushy, because God knows I can do that, I should get to my point.  Today was my first day to watch LylaBean for Pocklock and her EHH while they did some stuff around the house.  It was kind of like things came full circle.  I was super excited to have her.  And it was so apropo that it happened to be Friday.  If you read Pocklock from back in the summer of ‘07 you know that she would feature a picture of Li’l Foot on her blog for those days.  And the posts were called “Li’l Foot Friday”.  Okay, so I’m so unoriginal and just named my post “LylaBean Friday”!

Needless to say, we had a great time.  Li’l Foot LOVESLOVESLOVES Lyla and was so excited Lyla was in her house.  We played, we watched Classical Baby, we bounced on knees, we took pictures (but I can’t share those quite yet).  So here, I have one picture that just makes the whole day worth while.  I couldn’t have been any happier.  My daughter and my god daughter.  In my lap. Snuggling.  Both falling asleep together. On me. Within mere minutes of each other.  Life is so good.

Please note, that LylaBean is wearing Li’l Foot’s outfit & bear slippers (which is awesome). I am so lucky.  So very lucky to not only have 2 nephews and 4 nieces (& another on the way) of my own, but to also have LylaBean too!  I can tell that Lyla and Li’l Foot are going to be very close.  Hopefully I can be to Lyla what Pocklock is to Li’l Foot.  Thank you Pocklock! You and your family mean so very much to me.
