Eggnog or hot chocolate? Eggnog, but not just any eggnog…my mom’s eggnog recipe is the only one I can drink.
Does Santa wrap the presents or leave them open under the tree? Wraps all of them
Colored lights on a tree or white? Colored. But I was thinking maybe next year I’d go white.
Do you hang mistletoe? Nope, never have.
When do you put your decorations up? Maybe two weeks after Thanksgiving. There is no rhyme or reason for when it’s done. It’s more like at this point as long as I can stand being badgered by Li’l Foot to put up the decorations because she sees all the other houses with them and ours aren’t done yet.
What is your favorite holiday dish? Cheesecake, Sausage Breakfast quiche, filet, sweet potatoes.
Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No, except for the ones at Pocklock‘s gathering. Our family did the Christmas Eve opening one year when I was a teenager and I didn’t like it that way at all, so I won’t do it if I have the choice.
How do you decorate your Christmas tree? I try to put up every ornament that I can, but we have so many of them that it’s hard to put them all up and it’s equally hard to choose which ones don’t make the cut. I’d need a tree the size of the Rockerfeller Christmas tree to put all our ornaments up, I’m not even kidding.
Snow: love it or hate it? I love it, but mostly if I can stay home and play in it or take a walk in it with my mom at 11 p.m. Or drive in a blizzard to Pocklock’s house and rock out to 80′s music, but gone are those days. Now we have families and are responsible for other lives and whatnot.
What is your favorite holiday dessert? Cheesecake
What is your favorite holiday tradition? Making eggnog and cookies. This year I got to do one of the two.
