I’m joining on this bandwagon because I LVOE this idea!
Maybe it will help me get my mojo back for writing to Li’l Foot on her monthly birthday!
Dear Li’l Foot,
Today was somewhat monumental. Your friend Parker came over for the day and I scavenged for ways to tucker you both out because not only was he coing over at noon, but he was going to be staying the night with us. I was so excited and nervous and owrried all at the same time. You LOVE Parker! You ADORE Parker. I ADORE Parker’s parents!!! I didn’t want you to make this a difficult adventure because then Parker’s parents wouldn’t think I was capable of handling two toddlers at a time and then they’d stop coming to church (probably not really) and then they’d move away (no they wouldn’t) and then they’d forget they ever knew us (Heehee…good luck!…Love you Jules!)!!!
I have to say, you and Parker were ANGELS!!! Seriously, ANGELS all day long. They dropped him off at noon as planned. He fussed minimally at them leaving…only because he was so much more interested in your Little Tykes Car. We got our act together and headed out for a fun filled day of wearing you little buggers out!
1st stop…McDonald’s…we ordered a 10 piece nuggets for you and Parker to share. As we drove I handed them back to both of you. You seemed to eat a little more quickly than Parker but I think he thought he better keep up with you so any time I handed you one, he shoved whatever clump of nugget was left from the last round in his nouth and held out his hand for another one. I think he was secretly afraid you’d eat his share too! heehee!!! After 3 you both conked out and fell asleep. That’s right, right about the time we were pulling into our second stop…
2nd stop…Muscoot Farm…We let you both sleep for about an hour but the place was closing at 4 so we woke you up so that we had a good bit of time to walk around. You both loved the animals. I lvoed watching you both walk down the path with your hands firmly grasped in one anther’s hands. It was truly a sweet moment. You were a little scared of the cows. We rounded out our farm visit with a climb onto a stationary tractor they have for children to climb on. After your fair time, we bribed you off of it with the promise of ice cream. I’m not above bribery. Also there were other kids waiting and I didn’t want a scene. Although I think anywhere that Parker went today, you would go too.
We visited King Kone and my oh my the picture I got of both you and Parker handling a “small” kids cone which wasn’t really all that small. You quickly lost interest in the ice cream when you discovered the petre dish they call a sand box in the corner of the property. We let you play until daddy finished his “medium” cone which would’ve fed a third world country. Let me just say here that the cone at this place is amazing…it had like a cinnamon mixture taste baked into the cone and it was delicious! Anyway, you weren’t too happy about leaving so I bribed you with a promise of our…
3rd stop…the playground at the park…A playground we had not been to yet so it was all new and all sorts of exciting. Swings, slides, climbing apparatus’ etc. etc. etc. You were having so much fun, I hated to pull you both away from the park but we had to meet grandma and go to our
4th stop…dinner at the Blazer…Only the best burger place ever! You and Parker were again perfect little angels. I thought for sure I was setting myself up for disaster come bedtime with all your goodness during the day.
Final stop…everyone off the train…we’re home…and we have much to do…baths to be given…books to be read…beds to be tucked into…and it all went really well. I had you both in bed and sleeping by 9 tonight. You were the one who gave me the hardest time but it wasn’t even a hard time. It was your normal routine for the night. Parker was out like a light. You ran him ragged today. You both bathed together which was so much fun!I read you both “Mimi’s toes” except where it said “Mimi” I said your name and Parker’s name and all the tenses of the words and make it a book about you and Parker and when it said Mimi’s mom tickled her toes I tickled both yours and Parker’s bottom of your feet. You both went crazy and LOVED every second of it. Parker even requested I read it again! And I did!
Today was so much fun Li’l Foot. Thank you for being such a good kid. I loved seeing you and Parker play and have fun together.
I love you sweet girl.
xoxo

P.S. Once I have approval from Parker’s mom, I will post pictures from today.
