While I was at my past job, I made a connection with a vendor. A really cool vendor. Just a really good guy. He’s actually trying to put my name out there with his past jobs to try and get me a job.
One of the projects I worked on while at this job was for signage. And that project required making really cool stretched canvases on wooden stretcher frames. I loved the way they turned out for my project. So much so that I got the idea well before Christmas even to make a collage of them for LFD. My vendor didn’t want to charge me but I was working for a comapny with strict employee guidelines for excepting free product from vendors. Which I understood and was fully prepared to pay for the collage project.
And then I was let go and I emailed the vendor to let him know. And then we realized I didn’t work for the company anymore and he was happier with that arrangement so he didn’t have to charge me. He never wanted to do that in the first place. If he did have to charge me he was prepared to charge me like $5 per print just to say he charged me.
Today the collage of canvases arrived. The dog went bollistic when the UPS man arrived at our door. I went to retrieve the package and could hardly contain my excitement. I made LFD open it up right then and there. For a brief moment I gave him the choice to open it that moment or wait until tomorrow, actual V-Day! And then I over ruled him and made him open it anyway. I couldn’t wait to see them.
Since I am still on Pocklock’s laptop, I couldn’t download pictures of it from my camera so I used her PhotoBooth App just to take a quick picture so I could show you the awesomeness of it! And so, without further ado, here it is:

I’ll have more pictures when we get our computer back and I can download my Nikon. You don’t really get the depth of the canvases from this picture. Each canvas is about 20″ x 24″ respectively and the stretcher frame gives it about an inch worth of depth off the wall. They are perfect. I am so excited about them. Although I feel like a total tool for forgetting to call my vendor to thank him because I was running around today. I shall call him tomorrow though.
Happy Valentine’s Day LFD! I love you!
