Yesterday I was in my Flickr account checking on some things. On my front page I couldn’t help but notice my recent activity of people who have commented. I checked it out and it seemed I had made a ton of comments on my own photos. I was perplexed. I know that sometimes I have some urges to give myself some pats ont he back, but comment on my own photos on flickr? That’s just crazy talk! Why would I do that? I actually sat there for a moment and treid to think if I did type the comments on there somehow without realizing it. Maybe I sleep walked (nah!). Maybe I got drunk and drunk commented (nah!). Maybe… Well, never mind. I just didn’t do it. I know I didn’t.
So I read through all of them. As I read the first few I thought, well, maybe Pocklock’s hubbie is sstill logged into my account on his computer from when he got in to get some of the pictures I took when Lyla was born. Maybe he’s logged in and doesn’t know it. But as I kept reading they began sounding like things that he just wouldn’t write. But then who was doing it?
I started thinking there was a hacker who figured out my account info and was leaving random comments on my pictures just to screw with me. Comments that were random enough that couldn’t lead me to figure out who it was.
And then I got to really thinking. The only place I am 100% logged in to my Flickr account 24 hours a day is at home. That’s the only place. So I started thinking well, maybe it was my friend Moonshine. She was over on Sunday night and I guess could’ve done it, but when I looked at the time stamp on the comments they were made 32 hours prior to yesterday morning, so that would’ve put them being made sometime before she got to my house, like in the middle of the night between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Well, since the cat and the dog don’t have opposable thumbs and the kid was locked up tight behind the bars on her crib, that left two people, and I know it wasn’t me. So that left LFD! So as soon as I thought that thought out thoroughly, I called him. I asked him if he had been on the computer Saturday night into Sunday morning. He said yes. I asked him if he made some comments on my Flickr pictures. And he hemmed and hawed and finally said yes.
Saturday night we were out making dinner for Pocklock and EHH and watch the Sox game. I guess we got home about 10:30/11. I don’t even remember. When we got home, I was exhausted just from the lack of sleep Friday night, so I went to bed. He stayed up, watched the rest of the game. He didn’t come to bed until 3 a.m. Well, now I know what he was doing until that time.
Okay, so first off, PHEW!!! Thank goodness that mystery is over…I was freaked out for a moment there actually. But second, okay, you don’t know LFD, he doesn’t “do” computers. He may as well not have opposable thumbs either for as much as he doesn’t do computers (heehee, that’s a great mental picture actually!). Seriously though, it takes him 5 hours to type one sentence on a computer, I sit here wondering just how long it took him to make comments on the pictures. And really? He NEVER comments on my pictures. He never even LOOKS at my pictures. HECK he never even reads my blog for goodness sake. I don’t get it. Don’t get me wrong or anything I love it, but I’m just shocked is all. And gosh darn it, he’s funny, he SHOULD comment on our pictures and read my blog and then comment on that too, he’d add a certain personality to both. Those who know him can attest to that! I have my very own hacker! So if you see comments that appear I made them on my own photos on flickr, chances are, it wasn’t me!

Too funny. Ross just started reading my blog. I’m not even sure why he’s suddenly interested in my written perspective….I guess it beats talking to me over screaming baby!
Mystery solved
My husband doesn’t read my blog and only looks at my pictures when I threaten bodily harm
