Well, sometimes when I open my phone to text a Twitter in, I forget you have to enter that number 40404, in the “To” field and instead I immediately start typing my Twitter update message. But remember I have a phone, it’s not a blackberry or anything fancy with a whole keyboard. So each number has 3 or 4 letters on it so I can type out my message. So in order to get the letter “s” to pop out I have to hit the number “7″ four times. So instead of typing out letters, I’m typing out some sort of Cryptogram combination of numbers.
For instance, if I’m trying to Twitter a message that says:
“Woohoo it’s FRIDAY!!!”
It will actually be cryptogrammed and will read:
966666644666666144487777133377744432999111111111111111
I usually don’t look at the screen as I’m typing, because I’m concentrating so hard on hitting each number enough times to get the letters output that I need to make a word (or at least make sense) so I usually wind up getting about half way through typing the message before realizing that I needed to type in 40404 instead. I swear this mommy brain gets me every time!!! I suppose this is not going to go away any time soon, if at all.

You need a new phone!
I am way behind. Please forgive me. I promise to be better. In fact, I usually don’t show just how behind I am by commenting on old posts but I have something to say. (I know, just get to the point & say it already–hee hee!)
1. Every time I read/hear about other cell providers, I am even happier I use Verizon. I don’t have a single complaint.
2. Does your phone not have the “Word” text mode? I have the “123″ option and the “Abc” and “ABC” options. But I also have “Word” which means I can hit the keys 7433 and the word “side” comes up. And then if that’s not the word I wanted, I hit 0 for ‘next’ and am given the options “ride” “shed” “rife” etc, until I get the word I want. I would go insane trying to text without that feature.
